Cathy's Bio
After losing her mother to lung cancer in 2010, her wife, Laura, to breast cancer a year later, Cathy found herself not only without her wife, but also her health and shortly thereafter, her programming career. Diagnosed with over 25 chronic illness, prescribed over 20 medications, feeling not only physically exhausted but mentally and emotionally drained, Cathy spent the next four years in bed. For the first time, she will share what transpired during those years, what caused her to shift out of the victim mindset and into taking control of her own health. Learning to meditate in order to communicate with Laura, Cathy began on a spiritual journey. As she spent day after day in meditation, she began to experience physical healing. Within a year, her body no longer required insulin, the insulin pump was removed. The thyroid medications were having adverse effects, discontinued. The blood pressure medication was making her dizzy, stopped. One by one each medication was reevaluated and then dropped. Eventually, she no longer depended on a wheelchair, walker or even so much as a cane to be mobile. Frequently hearing, “I don’t know.” and “I can’t explain it.” from her doctors, Cathy finally learned to trust the one person she had neglected and ignored over the past decade; herself - her intuition, her inner guidance. Cathy is excited to share how changing her thoughts, attitude and focus, changed her life.
