Julia House Presentation on Hospice and Palliative Care

Join us on Sunday December 3 at 11AM for Unity in Edinboro! Karen Adams and Julia Strazalka from the Julia House will be sharing their expertise in Hospice and Palliative Care. Let's come together to learn, heal, and make informed decisions for ourselves and our loved ones.

Karen Adams holds a master’s degree in Theological Studies and spent most of my career as a church music and liturgy director which often also included pastoral ministry.  She retired from music ministry and now engages in hospice chaplaincy and volunteering with JHPC to inform and educate about hospice and palliative care and to make Julia House,  the first hospice facility in Erie County, a reality.

Julia Strzalka earned her Bachelor of Music from The Catholic University of America. She earned her Master Degree from Syracuse University and taught grade school music. After raising her children, Julia earned her School Administration Certificate from Edinboro University. She returned to education as the school principal of Seton Catholic School & St. Luke School. Julia has sat on many non-profit boards and has served the community in several volunteer projects. She is presently the Executive Director of the JHPC Non-profit.
