Rev. Jenn Shepherd

Rev. Jenn Shepherd joined Unity in Edinboro in 2014 and has served as Spiritual Leader since 2017.
 

Hello! I'm Rev. Jenn Shepherd, a dedicated individual with a diverse background in history, religious studies, education, and spiritual leadership. I proudly hold a B.A. in History from Penn State, Behrend, with a strong emphasis on religious studies and the history of religions. Additionally, I completed ministry studies at Mercyhurst College and earned a secondary teacher certification from the same institution.
 

Educational Journey:

My academic journey has been a pursuit of knowledge and understanding, blending history with a profound exploration of religious studies. This foundation has been instrumental in shaping my perspective and guiding my path toward ministry and teaching.
 

Professional Experience:

For over a decade, I served as a passionate educator, teaching 7th and 8th-grade history and science. This experience allowed me to contribute to the growth and development of countless young minds, fostering a love for learning and a curiosity about the world.
 

Spiritual Leadership and Inclusive Programs:

Presently, I am honored to serve as the Spiritual Leader to Unity in Edinboro, where our mission is to meet people where they are, providing a space for voices and hearts to be heard. Alongside this, I co-founded Bolts of Love in 2014, a program close to my heart. Bolts of Love serves as a bridge between those comfortable with a traditional "church" community and those who identify as "spiritual but not religious." This initiative aims to create a space for interaction, fostering inclusion, healing, and empowerment.
 

Passions and Certifications:

My passion extends to Integral Studies, Inclusion, Healing, Spiritualism, New Thought, a progressive approach to Christianity, and Self-Empowerment. I hold certifications in QiGong, QiGong Healing, Grief Education, Grief Movement, Spiritual and Reiki Healing, Integral Ministry, Quantum Living, and am recognized as a psychic medium.
 

Active Participation and Teaching:

I am a member of Sophia through the InnerQuest Foundation, co-administrator of the Mediumship Reading Room, and actively involved in teaching spirituality, self-development, healing, and mediumship. As a lifetime learner, I bring my passion for diversity and continuous learning to the programs at Unity in Edinboro.
